Boise State Game

Well Tel finally talked his dad into taking him to a Boise State game. So on friday the three boys all headed to Logan for the game. I talked to Tel just before they got to Logan he was bouncing off the roof of the car. He said mom I am so Excited I can hardly stand it. They all had a great time. They forgot to take a blanket so steve had to buy a USU blanket we thought that was pretty funny because the whole time we went to school there neither of us had anything that had USU on it except for steves Cowboy hat he painted blue and wrote USU on it in white paint. They all had a great time and Tel wants to know why Dietrich can't have a Big Screen TV like USU has. I thought that was pretty funny. The boys said the game was freezing but worth it.

Ariel Baking

Ariel is becoming quite the cook. She wanted to make sugar cookies but I had to help steve cut up the elk. She said I can do it all by myself and she did she made the dough frosting and everything. She was so proud of herself. I think she gets being a messy cook from her mom. I just need to teach her how to clean the mess up when she was done but the cookies were sure good. Good Job Ariel you are growing up so fast.

Football

Well I have to tel a funny on my boys. They are really into football these days especially since Tel got to play Pee wee football this year. A couple of days before tournament. I see Tel and Wes in their football gear helmet pants shirts. They are running around the house. Pretty soon Wes comes in and I said Wes what are you guys doing. He said mom I have Tel running laps around the house. He needs to get faster for the game. For those of you who dont know the boys very well Wes is the youngest. It was so funny that I grabbed my camera and had to get a picture.

The big hunt

Well steve drew a bull elk tag this year and he was so excited to go. Me on the other hand I know how much more work it is for me when he is gone so I wasnt excited for him to leave. Who would know that everything that could have gone wrong did. The first night he was gone I was woke up at 3 oclock in the morning to the powerpole on the corner of our property on fire. I had to be up feeding at 5:30 so needless to say I didn't get much sleep. The power was still out when I left for work at 7. Its never a good day when you don't get your morning shower. Then the next day I had to leave work early because Wes was sick. Steve came home friday night because Tel was supposed to have a football game saturday morning. The game was canceled. He came home with good news he had killed a sick point bull elk and they were going back up saturday afternoon to bring it out and should be home on monday. Yeah right. Well sunday morning we woke up to a foot of snow. I went out to feed the roping cattle and on of the heifers had calved. The mom wouldn't take care of it so I had to call Joe and he came to the rescue. The calf is still doing well. With all of the snow they werent able to get steves bull out until tuesday afternoon. They werent home in time for the football game so I had to hurry home from work to get the boys and then hurry right back to Gooding for the football game. Yes I work in gooding so the game was at my school. I guess it is times like this that you realize how much that other person does to make our lives work. Well Steve got his bull elk and he is so proud of it. Life is back to normal once again too.

Halloween

Halloween is always funny especially here in dietrich I think this year was the first year it was warm and we didnt freeze our butts off. The kids did miss going and trick or treating with their cousins. The last couple of years they have got to trick or treat with the woodlands but they had a good time here and got lots of candy that is all gone now. I guess that is what happens when you have three kids home for a half hour before mom
